One Point Makes Difference in ODB $500 League
The 9th Annual ODB $500 Fantasy League had 709 teams enter the mix with the top 70 getting a piece of a $354,500 prize pool. Unlike its $25K Fantasy counterpart, the ODB League was a tight affair coming down to the wire. In the end, just a single point made a $22,000 difference as Team Mezlagio, owned by Matthew Waxman, prevailed with 1,679 points to win the league for $55,000 while Team ihttomlfdwy had to settle for second place with 1,678 points, still good for $33,000 in prize money.
On the other end of the spectrum, Team Bonus Player Carries! finished in dead last with 319 points, but thankfully there was a $2,500 consolation prize! Click here for a full look at the ODB $500 results.

- A basic tactic is to record the number of cards that have been played and discarded. Your gameplay can be modified by keeping an eye on the cards your opponents are discarding or picking up in order to learn more about their possible melds. You can securely hold onto your heart cards without worrying about them being picked up if you observe, for example, that your opponent is not pursuing that suit if they are regularly discarding hearts. 25-01-04
- Jokers are occasionally used as wild cards in variations of the standard 52-card deck. A draw pile is created from the remaining cards after each player is dealt a predetermined number of cards at the start of the game, usually seven or ten. A discard pile is created by turning the top card from the draw pile face up. In order to create legitimate sets and sequences in their hands, players alternately draw cards from the draw or discard pile. Until one player successfully melds all of their cards or hits a predefined point threshold, the round keeps going. Players must be aware of their opponents' moves in addition to creating melds. 25-01-04
